Clandon House gutted by blaze

Clandon House gutted – Firefighters tackling the multi-million pounds blaze at 18th century National Trust mansion Clandon House pulled priceless antiques from the first floor of the burning building and sent them down ladders in a bid to save the irreplaceable antiques. Eye-witnesses said that fire crews valiantly entered the fully-ablaze building to pluck paintings and furniture from the devastating inferno which destroyed 100 per cent of the interior of the building.
