A painting of Warrant Officer First Class Darren Chant of the Grenadier Guards who was shot and killed by a policeman in Afghanistan was unveiled and will hang at the Sergeants' Mess at Lille Barracks, Aldershot.

Widow Sheenie Chant wipes away a tear after unveiling a new portrait of her late husband Warrant Officer First Class Darren Chant of the Grenadier Guards who was shot and killed by a policeman in Afghanistan while mentoring and training Afghan security forces. The portrait, which was painted by Vivienne Francis, was commissioned by friends and will hang at the Sergeants’ Mess at Lille Barracks, Aldershot.
